The week before school started brought great attempts to check off the remaining 'to do' items from our 'summer to do' list and one of the events on our list was another trip to see Jennifer at The Milkhouse. The last time we had visited, the temp must have been around -20 as my memory of our previous trip to The Milkhouse involved heaters and parkas. As you can see, a visit to The Milkhouse in the summer was ever so much more pleasant!
We were fortunate the lovely Miss Sharon could join us.
Along with a few other precious goodies, I scored pale green seam binding, old photo album sleeves, German Glitter Glass and vintage tickets.
The wonderful Miss Jennifer made the kids brownies, fresh lemonade and these really cool Jello squares.
And of course, today's technology has made our spontaneous road trips so much more...ummm...quiet. I never hesitated to take the kids on road trips, near and far, when they were younger but its amazing how a quick trip to the movie rental store then off on our journey makes the journey that much quicker and that much quieter :)
Thank you again Miss Jennifer for being such a great hostess and spending time with me and the kidlets. We truly enjoy our visits to your wonderful Milkhouse.
If you can't visit Miss Jennifer and The Milkhouse in person, you can find the goodness she is selling on Gabry Road via her Vintage Serendipity Boutique.
PS if you haven't already visited, Gabry Road is having a Facebook 'like' party where you and a friend could win an awesome gift. Please click here for the details.
Thanks for stoppin' by!
